and services as well as hints & tips, meet the team..

Welcome to the ‘Open IRIS10’ special edition

This issue of the IRIS News Magazine has special significance, because it coincides with the final implementation phase of the Companies Act 2006, these remaining provisions include significant changes in processes and forms which will affect all practices that undertake company formation and company secretarial duties.

Implementing the provisions of the act in the latest release of the IRIS Accountancy Practice Suite has lead to a 300% increase in engineering time - and the delivery of a brand new
IRIS Company Secretarial module.

We are excited to be launching Open IRIS10, because not only does the release include the new IRIS Company Secretarial module, but also a host of other new developments and
updates - introduced as a result of feedback from our customers
throughout 2008/9.

Practice Reporting is an entirely new product available free to existing customers. It ‘opens’
up the IRIS database, making business level information accessible from a range of popular
desktop tools and report writing technology. You’ll hear a lot more about it at IRIS World, as well as in this edition of IRIS News and on our website.

We are also launching IRIS Practice Hosting, for customers that no longer want the hassle and complexity of running their own mission critical applications. IRIS will securely deliver your
applications as a service over the Internet, for a single monthly fee - and include your popular Microsoft desktop products and email into the bargain. Now IRIS manages your back ups, security, upgrades and maintenance - leaving you to concentrate on growing your business.

We will be providing a complete overview of Open IRIS10 at our IRIS World events that
are running across the UK throughout October. These events are important in developing deeper relationships with all our customers, and having the opportunity to hear directly from you, how we are doing. ‘Glasnost’ is the spirit of openness and transparency, a focus that
is key to our success - not only in developing our products but in everything that we do
for our customers.
