Pearson & Associates is an example of a new breed of
forward-thinking UK accountancy practices.
Without IRIS Resourcing, we
would need to employee
at least two full-time
UK-based staff. Taking
base-line costs into account,
we have made annual savings
of over £26,000, plus the
considerable time it would
have taken to source and
employ extra staff.
Joel Sendrowski, Accounts Manager at
Pearson & Associates
A forward-thinking practice
The firm combines traditional accountancy services with
strategic personal and business planning advice that helps clients
plan most effectively for their future.
Based in Skipton, North Yorkshire, Pearson employs a team of 12
and serves 250 small business customers across the UK.
As Joel Sendrowski, accounts manager explains, “We’re a
future-focused business with a holistic vision. We go beyond core
accountancy services to provide professional skills and personal
support, which enables us to address the full range of business and
planning issues that emerge at different stages in our client’s
work and personal life."
IT IRIS origins at Pearson & Associates
When the practice was first established in 1995, it was focused
purely on accountancy
services. From the start, the firm turned to IRIS to meet its core
accounts production
needs, focusing predominantly on the Accounts Production, Business
Tax and Personal Tax modules.
Sendrowski said, “The tight integration of the IRIS platform is
phenomenal. It really helps streamline the accounts production
process making that part of our business extremely efficient.
Hosting IRIS and other applications
Pearson takes business efficiency seriously. In 2008, the
company moved its entire IT infrastructure to a third-party hosting
provider. All applications, including IRIS, can be accessed by
anyone on the team from a home, client or office-based system. The
benefits of hosting have been considerable and include flexible and
secure access, full and continuous off-site backups of client data,
as well as reduced IT capital and operating costs.
